OCD Specialty Therapy
Hi, I’m Meghan! I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Illinois, and a therapist specializing in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) treatment. I earned my BA in psychology from Vassar College, and MA in social work from the University of Chicago.
I’ve received extensive training in a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) called exposure and response prevention (ERP), which is the cornerstone of my approach with OCD. I also draw on CBT more broadly, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and principles of trauma-informed care. Prior to specializing in OCD, I worked with domestic violence survivors, at a community mental health clinic, and as a group therapist in mood and anxiety partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs (PHP/IOP).
I view mental health through a systemic lens, knowing that each person does not exist in a vacuum but is carrying their own unique set of experiences, environments, and socio-cultural identities, and is differentially impacted by systems of oppression. I believe in every human being’s inherent worth and potential for growth, and am honored to support amazing clients as they make meaningful changes in their lives.
